I recently bought my camera for around £250. It is a Lumix DMC-TZ20. I bought this camera because I think it has most of the settings that I need for the course and it is very easy to use. To change shutter speed on my camera, I simply turn the dial to the 'S' or 'A' to set it to aperture priority or shutter priority and press the exposure button on the back. This is very simple and labelled.
The camera has a 21x zoom and has a button for HD filming, to zoom, there is a switch that you hold to the left to zoom out and right to zoom in. To use the filming, it is very simple, there is a red button on top of the camera and you just press that. It also has a 3D setting, however to do this, you have to move the camera slowy around 10cm over 4seconds and need a 3D television or screen to view this in 3D. I first tried this on the day I bought the camera when trying to experiment with it. Here is the result of the my first attempt in my back garden.
I tried to use different shutter speeds, I found my cat drinking out of a blue bucket of water whilst leaning over it, I thought that this could make a good photo with the ripples of the water and his tongue partly out of his mouth. Here is the results.
